What happens when you have a baby coming, a 2 year anniversary, a 10 year anniversary, sisters, and their husbands? Well, you get Julie, Rich, Maria and Tim in Central park on a beautiful spring day!

I photographed Julie and Rich's wedding in Central Park two years ago. And now they are celebrating their second year anniversary with a baby on the way! Julie brought her sister Maria and her brother in law Tim along for the shoot. What a great group of people. They are all beautiful. You will see in the pictures below how much laughing and playing was going on during the shoot. We had some fun in the park, and then we went to eat pretzels from the Sabrett stand. Such fun!

There is something about sisters that gets me every time. My sister Timmi and I are super close, and I love seeing that bond. I mean who else in the world understands you as well as your sister? Who else can you chat about anything with? Who else will sing in front of the mirror with you for hours? My sister and I can laugh for hours about the most ridiculous things.

What is the silliest thing that you do with your best friend or sibling?

I first photographed Gina and Ben last year when they got engaged. They are such sweet people. I cannot tell you how incredible it is for me to photograph couples and families every year. It is so fun to see how fashion changes, people change, and relationships grow.

We had a perfect day in Central Park and Times Square. What can be better than a little sun, green trees, pink blossoms, Diana cameras, and funny cartoon popsicles? Nothing beats this kind of day.

Maud, Camille and Marie live in Paris, and they wanted to celebrate their friendship with a fun shoot in New York City! What a fun idea! Friendship is so wonderful. On this Thanksgiving week, I am thinking about all of the incredible people in my life.

Melissa is amazing! Not only is she drop dead gorgeous, but she is incredibly fun and full of life. She knows what she wants and she speaks her mind. I love that about her.

We had so much fun styling this shoot. Melissa had her makeup done by the amazing Jimena Garcia and wore Hunter Dixon clothes! She choose the pink Mo Mo top, blue and gold Ellie dress and the Blakely jacket in yellow brocade with silver. Amazing.

Dora and Alex arrived at our shoot dressed in a beautiful clothes with huge smiles on their faces. It was the perfect day. The perfect light. The perfect couple. They love each other, and they love to laugh. People that I photograph all seem to enjoy a good cup of laughs. And I adore it right back. They say that eyes are the windows to the soul... I think laughter might be my window. It's an incredible feeling to surround yourself with people that love to be silly, love to crack jokes, and love to laugh.

Dora and Alex met at the airport on their way to the US for college. I love hearing how people meet. Sometimes it is sitting next to someone at work (like my husband and I). Sometimes it is through mutual friends. Sometimes it is at school. Sometimes it is on the Internet. Sometimes it is at a party/bar/restaurant. But sometimes you get those stories like theirs... at the airport just before boarding the same plane! Love that was meant to be. I don't believe in coincidences. I believe that everything happens for a reason. And these two are perfect. They smile, they dance, they admire, they trust, and they are both so passionate about life.

Last night I watched this incredibly inspiring talk on my iPad by Jessica Jackley at TED. Doesn't everyone just love TED? If you haven't heard of it, go now and watch! Amazing. Inspirational. When I watch these talks, it's like I am discovering a surprise candy at the bottom of a slurpie (growing up, all of my friends loved to put 5 cent candies in their slurpies so they would freeze and just when you thought you had finished them all, there would be one little one at the bottom! gold!) or opening up a Wonka bar and finding the golden ticket. I am always amazed at how long I can spend in a trance listening to people speak about their lives. I learn about technology, poverty, suffering, surviving. But most of all, I push myself to expand my horizons and learn things and think about things that I might not have ever known about before.

Jessica Jackley was so emotional. She cried, she laughed, and she was passionate. She is real, and I could relate. Jessica said that entreprenurship is deciding that tomorrow can be better than today. As I listened to her words I saw the golden ticket in my hands. That "ah-ha" moment where I realized that she just summed up the past few years of my life perfectly. When I decided to leave my job in the finance world to pursue my passion to photograph people, that is exactly what I wanted. I wanted to make my life even better tomorrow than it was that day. For me. For my husband. For my family. For my friends. For the people I would photograph in the future. To push forward to create the life I wanted to live. To cry, to laugh, and to be passionate about everything I do.

Speaking of passion, I knew Serena and I were going to be friends after her first email to me. She found me through one of her friends and wrote to me about wanting to surprise her fiance Tommy with some shots of herself. He travels a lot and she wanted to give him a thoughtful gift, a gift that he couldn't buy himself. So we did it. We secretly did a shoot and planned it all out. And then we surprised Tommy. We totally got him. Like he won the golden ticket. My life keeps getting better and better every day because of the people that I meet and work with and become friends with. Serena, you are my surprise candy at the bottom of a slurpie. And oh do I love candy!

Thank you for being so amazing.

A perfect sunny day. A lot of laughter. A ton of love. A baby tummy. A beautiful bridge. Red lipstick. It doesn't get much better than this!

Spending time with these two beautiful people (who are about to welcome a third into their lives) was pure magic. There is nothing like seeing the excitement and love between two people that are waiting for their new little arrival. The nervousness. The unknown. The beauty. The glow.

Florence and Pierre are gorgeous inside and out. I can't wait to meet the little one! Congratulations!
